i saved this little guy from my cat! and then he wrapped himself around my hand and licked my wrist like THANK YOU SO MUCH and I carried him around with me for about 10 minutes xD And then i let him go~
There are chances that you find another one in your garden some day^^ (lucky you are to live in usa^^) there are sources on the internet for learning how to care for them as well as an article in an issue of reptiles magazine some months ago. They are insectivorous snakes, so the care is more similar to that of a small arboreal lizard than to that of the common snakes in the herp hobby.
Sorry if I thought you were a beginner. I know sometimes people are scared of snakes, my mother used too before, know she likes to hold them^^. And what species di you keep ? (Glad to speak with fellow herp enthusiasts from accross the globe^^)
It's no problem! I'm actually quite used to taking care of injured animals... no matter the species. x3 Hmm I kept a worm snake I think they're called... two of 'em for about a week actually cos they were hurt and I didn't want any predators getting them.
